Safety First JetSuiteX !
JSX is Dangerously Fast-Tracking a New Commercial Air Service Over Your Community
JSX is rolling out a new luxury commercial air service at Santa Monica Airport in November 2025! SMO has never had commercial air service operations, and JSX has never operated an aircraft this size and scale. JSX will fly big commercial aircraft (ATR 42-600) that will be the largest aircraft ever to use SMO's shortened 3500 ft runway. If you are are located in Santa Monica or the Westside of Los Angeles, you can expect to be affected.
How is JSX bypassing safety, security, and environmental regulations and processes?
The community is calling for full due diligence and a public process, including an independent FAA Safety Review and a full Environmental Impact Report to address safety and environmental risks.
We need your help, so please read below to learn more!
Note: Aviation industry organizations have expressed serious concerns about JetSuiteX's operations. Letters to the Department of Transportation were filed by Los Angeles World Airports (LAX and VNY), San Diego International Airport (SAN), American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Air Line Pilots Association, Allied Pilots Association, Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, Association of Professional Flight Attendants, Coalition of Airline Pilots Associations, International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, National Air Traffic Controllers Association, Southwest Airlines Pilots Association, Transportation Trades Department, AFL-CIO, Transport Workers Union of America . Read their letters here.

Take Action Now - Sign the Petition Letters
PETITION 1: Demand a Public Hearing with City Hall.
We want to hear from City Hall about what and why this is happening so quickly.
Isn’t the airport closing on December 31, 2028? Why is JSX recklessly starting a new commercial service at SMO with only 36 months until closing? How will safety be ensured? How will noise be mitigated? How will the airport closure be ensured?
PETITION 2: Demand a Safety Review by the FAA.
We want all safety and security risks examined to ensure compliance with FAA regulations.
An informal complaint will be submitted to the FAA to help protect the community by demanding: (a) full documented evaluation of safety and security risks; and (b) compliance with all applicable safety, security, and environmental regulations. This should be done before JSX begins commercial operations.
PETITION 3: Demand an Environmental Impact Report (EIR).
We want noise and pollution impacts thoroughly studied, documented, and mitigated.
An independent Environmental Impact Report (EIR) must be done to assess and mitigate the environmental impacts caused by JSX. To address our community concerns, the EIR must provide a formal and comprehensive analysis to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
